Job description:
Under the authority of the plant manager and/or chief engineer, the mechanic ensures the proper functioning of the production and packaging equipment at Les Sables Olimag Inc. by repairing the breakages that have occurred, according to the priorities set and performing the required maintenance.
Tasks
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment
- Diagnose mechanical failures and recommend appropriate solutions
- Repair or replace defective parts
- Participate in the installation of new equipment
- Perform any other related duties
Responsibilities
- Comply with the repair order issued by the foreman
- Deal with emergencies quickly
- Ensure the cleanliness of the premises after repair
- Work collaboratively with other team members
- Comply with factory safety rules
Qualifications required
- DEP in Industrial Mechanics
- Ability to read technical plans and maintenance manuals
- Good analytical skills and problem solving skills
- Autonomy, rigour and sense of organization
- Manual skill and thoroughness
- Ability to work under pressure and manage contingencies
